We woke up to great sunshine and weather, with a good mood (even though we were forced to wake up at 6am) as we were greeted with a fantastic buffet breakfast. I've had many buffet breakfasts in many different hotels before, but this is undeniably one of the best i've had! It offers a wide selection of cuisine ranging from western, italian, chinese, korean, japanese. The choices is just never ending! IT's just impossible to try them all as much as i love to. It not only offers quantity, but quality to every food presented on the tables! they even have freshly squeezed in front of you fruit juices! i'm was amazed, very amazed :) After breakfast, off we went to the elephant village. This was probably the best part of the trip, as the scenery there was green and beautiful, and the elephant ride was definitely exciting and fun. Too lazy to elaborate more so i'll let the photos do the talking ;) happily taking photos with the elephant on the background.... As the elephant got closer, i got scared and ran as far as i could :P bamboo rafting under the burning hot sun next, the SNAKE FARM! Monkey School i looked so shocked! finally a picture with the baby monkey :P After a long day trip to the many places above, we went back to the hotel and celebrated mum's friend's birthday in the hotel's chinese restaurant. As we arrived, we were shocked to see the restaurant....EMPTY! it was a huge restaurant but empty on christmas day! Anyhow we still enjoyed ourselves and had a selection of good food accompanied by great expensive (like real expensive) penfold's red wine and champagne. The night ended with us taking photos with the hotel's christmas decorations == End Of Day 2 ==
it's the 24/12/2007 - Christmas Eve, and i had to wake up as early as 6am in the morning to catch our flight scheduled at 9.45am. Was still feeling so sleepy that i decided not to put on my contact lens for the day. Wearing my specks, we took off from home to the airport. In the airport, we met up and gathered with all my mum's ex high school friend's Family members. One by one we were introduced to each other. Some i have met before, some never. It was such a long wait in the airport for AirAsia flight to arrive. To no surprise, our flight was delayed (AirAsia ma :P) So we waited a little longer. I was feeling so hungry that i decided to buy food from the only cafe available in the LCCT terminal waiting area. To my disappointment, things there were all instant food and they were selling instant spaghetti meat balls for RM13 or something like that! That's just ridiculous! so i bought the most reasonably priced item on the menu which was a chocolate milk shake for about RM5. Finally, the plane arrived. We boarded the plan, had Air Asia's famous nasi lemak (lucky it wasn't too spicy for me), and went straight to sleep... Few Hours later, we arrived at Chiang Mai International Airport! just before we landed, i was looking out from the window and saw nothing but mountains. I got worried, very worried. But soon after i start seeing some houses, and straight after i saw the houses the plane landed! It landed so close to the houses it's scary! Nevertheless, i was grateful we all arrived safely. After collecting all our checked in baggage, we were greeted welcome by our tour guide - Ora. We then boarded our very personalised bus With only 12 of us in the Big Bus, we basically could have 2 seats to one person and still with lots of empty seats! The bus seats were very comfortable and could recline more than Air Asia's seats so we were all really happy. As i was feeling really tired, i wanted to go back straight to the hotel, take a shower, put on my contact lenses before we head off for lunch. But the tour guide insist that we go straight for lunch, then straight to visit Chiang Mai's famous temple - as it is written in the itinerary. First stop: Lunch Buffet. Lunch was good with a great variety of thai, western and chinese food. After lunch we head off to Chiang Mai's Famous Temple. Cant remember the name of the temple. But here are some pictures. scenery overlooking chiang mai city The end of the temple... Next stop: Jade Factory was given a lecture about jades Next Stop: River Cruise with late afternoon tea along ChiangMai River (Cant remember the name of the river), It was that great after-all. Full of mosquitoes somemore. We watched the sunset there and then head back to the hotel to check in - finally. As i stepped into the hotel, i was very impressed with it! There was a pretty young lady knelling near the entrance wearing a traditional outfit playing a traditional instrument very skillfully! and the hotel room was very big, clean and nice! The beds were huge we could have fitted 4 ppl into 1 room yet still sleep comfortable. But we have pre-booked 2 ppl to a room. After taking a nice hot shower, changed and make up. Off we go for a cultural show dinner. Didn't manage to take many pics of the camera battery ran out. But the cultural dances were so beautiful and same as the dancers. Food was just ok. I couldn't take much of the curries so i mostly had fried chicken and some sweet veges. == End of Day 1 ==
I'll be flying off to Chiang Mai tomorrow. With Family and Family friends. This year, Christmas will be celebrated in Chiang Mai, Of all places. I asked my mum - who chose our holiday destination: "why chiang mai of all places? and for 6 days?!". My mum answered: "coz we never been there before...". But i also havent been to shanghai, beijing, or even Bangkok. So why Chiang Mai??!! I heard from friends that it's a place for riding elephants. I can imagine myself riding elephants for the next 6 days. Wish me luck guys! sigh. Christmas doesnt feel as festive as previous years for some reasons. Though the major shopping complexes here put up some really impressive christmas decorations (especially Pavillion, Love it!), but somehow it doesnt feel like christmas will be in 2 days and a brand new year will be approaching. I was at the curve today with some friends, decided to take up this great opportunity to meet up with friends since everyone is on holiday. Just came home feeling exhausted, and emotional... Felt like i did something, or many things wrong today. Somehow unexpected things came up and i was faced with some tough decisions to make. I'm not good at making decisions, especially during unexpected times. So i think i might have offended a few people. I have no idea why i need to blog about it but it somehow makes me feel better now. I appologized. Hopefully it was enough. Sigh...

I've been very busy lately, all coz reuben came visit me for a week in KL! it was so much shopping, eating and meeting up with friends that i'm officially sick right now. While i'm writing this entry, i'm sneezing and coughing all the way... For the past one week, i've been to many different shopping complexes including pavilion, lot 10, sungei wang, one utama, mid valley, sunway pyramid; went to many different places to eat including seafood buffet at Sheraton hotel, ss2 Murni, Zang Toi Cafe at KL, Itallianis, Chillis, Sky Bar and many many more; attended Justin and Charmane's wedding, mum's 50th birthday celebration dinner, played poker at friend's house, and met a new found love there: - Brownie !!! Ok, her name given by the owner was actually "summer", but i like the name brownie much better! People who knows me well will know how much a phobia i am in terms of getting close to animals/ insects of any sort. I have NEVER touched a dog in my entire life! And for some weird reasons, i touched Brownie the very first moment i saw her! She looks so so adorable and it doesnt bark at all! (well, at least i didnt hear her bark when i was there). She looks and feels just like a teddy bear: so hugable, tiny, cheeky and playful! She's a poodle toy dog if anyone is wondering :) Reuben just went back this morning, and i'm already missing him being here with me! Although he nag me as much as my mum does, but i still miss just having him around. Now it's back to sms and phone calls everyday. On a brighter note, my beloved cousin Hoey Hoey is back in KL!! I havent got the time to catch up with her yet, but i'll definitely catch up with her properly very soon! It's been AGES since we last met so i'm looking forward to it. In a nutshell, i'm having a blast here in malaysia!

Yes, i'm finally back in Malaysia after suffering from all the final 4th year exams. Though i'm back, i was worried about my exam results, worried if i had to take supplementary papers, especially for General Medicine. And i've spent the past 2 or 3 days, sitting at home, waiting in front of the computer, waiting for the "dead call" to inform u that u need to take supplementary paper. Taking supplementary paper would mean that i need to fly all the way back to Adelaide! It was a huge risk i took, to fly back here without waiting for the results. Many said i must be confident enough to have done that. But honestly, i wasnt at all confident. I did pretty badly in one of the super tricky MCQ paper. This MCQ is not any ordinary MCQ, it was full of tricks and most of the question asked were stuff i hadnt come across before. But i really wanted to attend my friend's BIG DAY so took the risk... I woke up as early as 6.50am this morning, logged on to "access adelaide" where results are usually posted. But there was nothing. So i went back to sleep. I received a call around 11am and i jumped off the bed to pick it up, thinking it might be the "dead call". I looked at the phone and it says "Reuben Malaysia Calling". I answered the phone and Reuben said results are out now. SO i hurried down the stairs and check, and........ I'm through to 5th Year!!!
9 Freaking Horrible Exams.... they are down doWN DOWN ALL DOWN!!! Cant believe i survived this 3 whole weeks full torture. It's now all OVER!! How else can i describe this horrible period, which probably have shorten 5 years of my life, with all the stress, sick feeling, loss of appetite, fast food and instant noodles, caffeine overdose, sleeplessness, headache, full on head buried in books period. And i'll be flying home to family, friends, fun, food and more sleep tomorrow!!! Yes, it is tomorrow the 22nd of November 2007! i'll arrive around 9pm in KLIA! Will be seeing all of you loved ones soon... very soon!
